Creative BioMart provides Drosophila Microinjection Service for CRISPR, phiC31 and P elements in Drosophila melanogaster.
Preparing of the Sample
If you want to provide your own samples, please pay attention to the concentration, viscosity, purity and volume of the samples. Sample quality is the main factor determining the success or failure of microinjection. Experimental Design
We choose the best host (embryo) for your microinjection experiment and other aspects of experimental design. If you like the host stock that is not currently kept by Creative BioMart, please send us some healthy flies or indicate where we can get some.
Name and Sending Your Samples for Microinjection
Our employees need to be able to communicate with you and each other on individual injection samples. Ideally, your sample name should be relatively short to make this communication easier. It's best to mail your samples in a padded box. Please use a small (0.5 ml) centrifuge tube for your sample. Do not use PCR tubes because they are fragile and easy to crush.

PhiC31 Microinjection & Screening Services
- 200 embryos microinjection, G0 cross & F1 screen.
- We return unbalanced positive lines.
- You can also choose any other sites listed in our strain library and allow two generations of amplification time.
- We guarantee 1-3 transformants for plasmid at standard size (<13kb).
P Element Microinjection and Screening Services
- 200 embryos were microinjected, G0 crossed and F1 screened. We return to the unbalanced main line.
- We guarantee that there are 5-8 plasmid transformants of standard size (< 13KB).
- Large plasmids (> 13KB) are not guaranteed.
CRISPR microinjection
- 200 embryos were microinjected. We returned the surviving larvae after microinjection.
Non Drosophila Microinjection
- 200 embryos were microinjected. We returned to the surviving pupae after microinjection.
Optional Services
The screened positive lines were isogenic and balanced. We build flight inventory for you.
- Plasmid Construction Service (<3kb)
Up to 3 PCR fragments with a total length of less than 3KB. We used high fidelity phusion DNA polymerase to amplify fragments and sequences through all parts of our clones. We returned the bacterial scribe plate and 4 µ g plasmid DNA.
Plasmid preparation to provide high-quality DNA for microinjection. Including restriction enzyme digestion or PCR validation services.
