Zebrafish Tol2 Transgenesis Services

- Tol2 Transgenesis Services
It is most commonly used in zebrafish laboratories for rapid and rapid genome editing by randomly inserting reporter gene boxes (such as GFP, overexpression of mutant proteins). However, the method is not site-specific. It does not always reproduce the natural expression pattern of genes and does not destroy the WT sequence.
- CRISPR / cas9 Transgenesis Services
Most commonly used to knock out, knock in point mutation, or tags into native locus. It is a powerful genome editing method, but generating stable lines (germlines) requires more labor and time. CRISPR / cas9 is less efficient than Tol2, but much more accurate. F0 animals are called "crispans". These edits are highly mosaic in F0, which makes phenotypic analysis challenging.
